You have served your country honorably and proudly. American Legion membership offers an opportunity to continue to serve as a member of the Nation’s largest veterans service organization dedicated to honoring veterans and protecting the benefits of other men and women who proudly served their country in time of armed conflict. Mid-Pacific Post 1 cordially invites eligible veterans and active duty service members to join our ranks.
American Legion Membership Eligibility
Eligibility for membership in the American Legion is based on active duty service in any branch of the U.S. military or the U.S. Coast Guard between December 7, 1941 and present. Service qualifies if the veteran served at least one day of active duty, whether or not such service was in a combat zone.

Membership Dues
Annual membership dues effective 1 January 2024 are are $55. This includes $45 National American Legion membership dues to help cover the cost of efforts and activities to promote laws and programs that support veteran benefits and services. The remaining $10 helps support local post operations.
Become a Legion Member
The officers, members and staff of American Legion Mid-Pacific Post 1 cordially invite eligible veterans to join Mid-Pacific Post-1. To ensure you are joining Mid-Pacific Post-1, you should submit an application directly to the Post. If you submit your application on the American Legion National web-site, you will be a member-at-large. You may visit any Legion post as a guest, but will not have a home Post until you transfer your membership to a local post. Follow one of the below procedures to ensure you are joining Mid-Pacific Post-1.
Drop Off Application at the Canteen. Applicants may download a fillable membership application, or pick up an application at the Post canteen. Return completed application, with a copy of your DD214 and your personal check or money order for dues, payable to the American Legion, to the post Adjutant or any officer or staff member at the post canteen. You may pay dues with cash or credit card at the Canteen.
On-Line. Prospective new members may complete and submit the Mid-Pacific Post-1 On-Line Membership Application. Applicants may attach their DD214 and credit card charge authorization for dues to the application.
Fax. Applicants may fax a completed membership application, DD214 and credit card charge authorization to 671-646-5374.
Mail. Applicants may mail a completed membershipapplication, DD214 and dues payment to: American Legion, Mid-Pacific Post 1, P.O. Box 10927, Tamuning, Guam 96931. Enclose personal check, money order or credit card charge authorization for dues payment.
Annual Membership Renewal. Annual memberships expire on the 31st of each year. The renewal period begins in July for the upcoming membership year. Memberships may be renewed in person at the post canteen, on-line, by faxing a Renewal Request and Credit Card Authorization to 671-646-5374 or mailing to American Legion, Mid-Pacific Post 1, P.O. Box 10927, Tamuning, Guam 96931.
Don’t Have Your DD214?
If you don’t have a copy of your DD214, you may obtain a certified copy by submitting a Standard Form 180 (SF180) to the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC). Requesting records through the NPRC could take weeks or months. For information about how to shorten the time required to obtain your DD214, check out “My DD214”. Paid Up for Life (PUFL) Memberships
A PUFL membership is a lifetime membership at the members current dues rate. PUFL dues are based on the member’s age and annual dues at the time of application. Click HERE to find your cost to become a PUFL member. The PUFL membership fee may be paid in one payment or 12 monthly installments. PUFL members receive a permanent plastic membership card.
