American Legion Guam
Mission and Vision
The American Legion Guam Mission and Vision are established to guide us in our goal of honoring United Stated veterans and supporting their needs and the needs of their dependents. In developing our Mission and Vision, we are guided by the MISSION OF THE AMERICAN LEGION National Organization. We also recognize our responsibilities to our local community in which we live and strive to support our community in areas such as the local Mayors’ community support efforts, other veteran’s organizations, youth sports leagues and similar non-profit altruistic efforts. We operate a Post Canteen open to members, American Legion members of other posts, active duty military and veterans and members of the local community. Income and donations from the canteen are used to support the organization and our community programs.
American Legion Guam Mission
Honor the service of all Unites States military veterans on Guam and serve their needs, the needs of their widows and dependent children.
We accomplish this mission by providing a post home where veterans, their families and friends may relax and enjoy the camaraderie of other veterans; honoring veterans at public holidays and memorial events; providing grants to support veterans organizations and needs; and supporting the needs of the local community in which we live.
American Legion Guam Vision
Continue supporting Guam veterans, youth activities, and community groups, while still being able to maintain a post for veteran activities and camaraderie.
To provide a meeting place for veterans and their families, to promote veteran camaraderie, while providing support to youth and community groups.
American Legion Mid-Pac Post 1 sees a future of full engagement with the community, providing support to veterans and veteran groups, while helping our youth move in a positive direction.
– PROGRAM EXECUTION –
Post Canteen. We operate a POST CANTEEN where veterans can relax and socialize with fellow veterans. Providing a venue that facilitates camaraderie among veterans, their families and the community is an important goal of our mission. Canteen profits support Legion operations and community charitable outreach programs
Community Support. We provide direct financial assistance to local community youth and manamko (elderly), veteran, and charitable programs. Organizations with programs that fall within the scope of support outlined above may submit a Request for Assistance to the Post Executive Board for consideration. Deliver the request to any Post Officer, drop off at the Post Canteen or attach to the Contact Form.
